Baños de Agua Santa is one of the most touristy towns in continental Ecuador, a combination of pure natural beauty, volcanic eruptions, lush vegetation, waterfalls, rapid rivers, and thermal springs; topped with candid nightlife and backpacker culture.
A natural gateway to the nearby Amazon Basin, to the east, the dramatic waterfalls of El Pailón del Diablo and Agoyán, accompany the Pastaza river into the amazon basin city of Puyo. Just to the south, access to trails on the active, and often erupting, Tungurahua volcano, and mineral-rich hot springs; the central Church of Our Lady of Holy Water has paintings depicting miracles attributed to it.
This all-inclusive package includes a quick visit to the city of Riobamba, Ecuador's original capital city, and a dive into the Chimborazo National Park and the majestic Chimborazo volcano, by all accounts the highest mountain on the planet, measured from the planet's core.

🚍 Land Package After having breakfast, you will head straight to your destination, the city of Baños de Agua Santa; here you will first get acquainted with the location, by visiting two of its viewpoints, Mano de Dios and Columpio de Bellavista. Soon after, you'll accomodate at the hotel and have a traditional 3 course lunch. After it, you'll visit Pailón del Diablo, the largest waterfall in the Pastaza River, a direct tributary of the Amazon River itself; the waterfall name translates to "The Devil's Cauldron" for its dramatic topography and presence. After visiting this superb location you will return to the hotel to rest, have dinner and prepare for the Baños nightlife.
You'll be leaving Baños de Agua Santa right after breakfast, and head towards the city of Riobamba and its beautiful colonial downtown, once the capital of Ecuador, the city is one of the first spanish cities ever founded on the Andes. The Casco Colonial of Riobamba is mostly of italian design, and its architecture from the 19th and 20th centuries considered unique. Afterwards, we'll accommodate at Hacienda Abraspungo, a typical Ecuadoran restored hacienda house, turned into a hotel; here you'll have lunch and spend the afternoon exploring its surroundings and dramatic landscapes before a good night's sleep.
After breakfast you will be picked up from the hacienda, and spend a full day in Riobamba where you will visit the most representative churches of the city and the city's cultural museum. After it, we'll head to Colta Lagoon, Laguna Amarilla and Balvanera church, so you can have a taste of the most beautiful landscapes of the Ecuadorian central Andes. We'll be returning to Riobamba by night where you can explore it's casco colonial once again.
You'll be checking-out off the hacienda hotel soon after an early breakfast, and head towards the Chimborazo Natural Reserve where you'll have an upclose with the beautiful Ecuadorian highlands and paramos, and two magnificent snow-capped mounts: the Chimborazo with a height of 6263 meters above sea level and the Carihuayrazo with 5020 meters above sea level.
The park itself has a huge variety of flora and fauna, it's the only place in Ecuador where you can find wild vicuñas and has several extensions of páramo for hiking and visiting a variety of lakes. After lunch, you'll visit the Chorrera Canyon, a rock formation located at the foot of Chimborazo usually visited by wall climbers and bird watchers; soon after we'll be leaving for our hotel.
🚍 Land Package After breakfast you will relax at the Chimborazo Natural Reserve hot springs to later transfer to the city of Riobamba and enjoy a traditional lunch, local BBQ-style pork "Hornado de Riobamba" a local delicacy. Soon after lunch, you'll have a safe return to the city of Quito, and reach it in aproximately 3 and half hours.
