✈️ Air Package on this first day on the Galapagos Islands, we will go from Mariscal Sucre Airport to Baltra Airport which will take approximately 2 hours. When you arrive at the airport and leave it, you will have a transfer to the Itabaca Channel to go to your first destination, which is Santa Cruz, but first you will have a brief visit to the lava tunnels, the twins and the primicias ranch; a place where you can meet the giant Galapagos tortoises in their natural habitat. Later you will go to the hotel in Santa Cruz to leave your belongings and in the afternoon walk the streets of the island and its main street and boardwalk boulevard.
On our second day in the Galapagos islands, we will go directly from the hotel to the port for the navigable tour from the morning until 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. depending on the daily destination, subject to weather conditions. It'll be possible to observe different animal species within each island or attraction. The available destinations are: Cerro Dragon, Guy Fawkes, North Seymour, Bachas Beach, Chinese Hat, Sullivan Bay, among others. You will have hiking and snorkeling activities; you will then have lunch on board. Finally, we'll return to the hotel and have the afternoon to further explore Santa Cruz island, with a guided visit to Charles Darwin Research Station, the distinct scientific heritage of the Galapagos archipelago.
Today you will have a walk to the famous beach of Santa Cruz "Tortuga Bay" which bears that name because it is a nesting site for the black turtle. From the center of Santa Cruz it takes approximately 10 min to reach the trail, which from this point is a distance of 2.5 kilometers or 50 min. Admission is free, but you must register with the park ranger, enjoy the white-sand beach and the abundant wildlife, specially marine iguanas, laying on the beach. Then we will return to have lunch in Santa Cruz, pack our bags and move to Puerto Villamil in Isabela island; where you will stay at your hotel and have time for a walking tour of downtown Puerto Villamil and enjoy the pristine beach.
On fourth day we'll go to the reef islet of "Tintoreras", located 10 minutes from Isabela by boat. It is a small rocky islet, which remains in its natural state and additionally nests a small group of sea lions, marine iguanas and birds; an ideal place to snorkel. Then we'll have a walk or bicycle ride to the "Wall of Tears" a man-made structure constructed there between 1946 and 1959 as part of a penal colony; on the way back, we'll go to "Playa del Amor", a small beach of shell sand that reaches a small lagoon of shallow seawater where you can enjoy a relaxing dive; on the way back to the hotel we'll go to the "Laguna de Flamingos", where a large colony of flamingos has settled in; after lunch, you will have plenty of leisure time, with the hotel pool and the pristine Puerto Vilamil beach at your feet.
✈️ Air Package On this last day, you'll have breakfast at the hotel and some leisure time by the beach and hotel pool, to later transfer to the Baltra airport and connecting flights.
